Install Skype... 

  1.   Open Internet Explorer

  2.   Go to http://www.skype.com/

  3.   Click on Download Skype.

  4.   Wait until downloading starts, and then run the SkypeSetup.exe file. If you see a warning dialog, just click 'OK'.

  5.   On completion of download 'Run' the software.

  6.   Select your Language and accept license agreement and the Skype Privacy Statement, then click on Install.

  7.   Click Next, The Files will install.

  8.   Start Skype.

            ·  Another Window will open to Create Account
           
·  Enter Your Full Name
           
·  Remember to enter the same Skype name and Password provided in the Scheduling Letter
           
·  Click on I accept, then on Next
           
·  Enter your email address and click on Sign In.
            ·  N.B:- If Windows firewall asks for your Permission click on Unblock.

   9.  After you have signed into Skype click on Tools --> Add a Contact

  10. Type in your tutor's Skype id (Provided in the scheduling Letter) in the field and click on Find.

  11. After the search is completed select your tutor Skype ID and click on Add Skype Contact.

  12. After adding, your tutor will appear into your Skype Contact List.

  Troubleshoot - If you are not able to login to Skype

            ·  Check your Internet Connection is properly working
           
·  if you have a firewall installed, make sure skype is allowed to connect to internet in your Exceptions setting.

  TO LOGIN TO WHITE-BOARD

            ·  Plug-in the Pen Tablet to the USB port of your computer
           
·  Now write something with the Electronic Pen on Tablet if the mouse cursor on the screen is moving then the pen-
                tablet is configured correctly
           
·  Go to www.tutorowl.com
           
·  Click on Login.
           
·  Click on Login for students.
           
·  Enter Username and Password (Username and Password present in the Scheduling Letter).
           
·  then click on Login
           
·  On the top frame click on the pen tip icon, with mouse then write something with the electronic pen on the white
                space.

    
  There is no sound in headphone....If no sound is coming from Headphone make sure that the volume control on the wire
  of the headset is all the way to high or if it does not solve the problem use the following Steps to resolve this issue.

  There is no sound or signal when talking/recording….If, when recording with a microphone, or no sound or signal is
  recorded, use the following Steps to resolve this issue.

  Step 1: Checking the connections

  Verify the headset is plugged into the correct jack in the back of the computer. This is done by matching the colors on the
  end of the connectors with the colors on the back of the computer. The colors of the microphone connectors are usually
  (1) Pink and speakers are (2) Green.


 
     

  Step 2: Checking Sound Playback Settings

  1.  In Windows XP, click Start, and Control Panel.

  2.  Click Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices, and Sounds and Audio Devices.

  3.  Click the Audio tab, and then click the Volume button under Sound Playback.

  4.  Remove all check marks from the Mute check boxes at the bottom of the Volume Control window.

  5.  Use the cursor to raise the slider bars to the highest volume settings, and then test the sound again.

  6.  If sound is restored, adjust the Volume to a comfortable volume setting.

  7.  Initiate Skype Test Call given under Skype Contact List and Follow the prompt. 
 

  Step 2: Checking Microphone Settings

  1.   In Windows XP, click Start, and Control Panel.

  2.   Click Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices, and Sounds and Audio Devices.

  3.   Click the Audio tab, and then click the Volume button under Sound Recording.

  4.   Slide the Mic Balance, Microphone Balance, or Microphone slider close the top of its range.

  5.   Click the Select checkbox under Microphone if it does not already contain a check mark.

  6.   Close the Volume window.

  7.   Click OK to close the Sounds and Audio Devices window.
 

  Step 3: Ensuring correct recording device is selected

  1.  Access sound properties:
      
In Windows XP, to access Sound Control Panel Applet, click Start, and Control Panel . Click Sounds, Speech, and
       Audio Devices
, then click Sounds and Audio Devices.

  2.  Click the Audio tab.

  3.  Under Sound Playback, select the Audio device that is installed on the computer (there should be only one).

  4.  Under Sound Recording, select the Audio device that is installed on the computer. It should be the same as the listing+
       under Sound Playback.

  5.  Click OK.

  6.  Close the Sound and Multimedia Properties window and test the recording. If there is still no sound, continue to the next
       Step.
 

  Fixing feedback, noise, and static problems
 
If microphone boost is selected noise can interfere with recording. Use the following steps to check for and disable the
  microphone boost setting:

  1.  In Windows XP, click Start , and then Control Panel.
  2.  In Windows XP, click Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices , and then Sounds and Audio Devices.
  3.  Click the Voice tab.
  4.  Click the Volume button inside Voice Recording or Voice Capture.
  5.  Click the Advanced button inside the Balance adjustment for the microphone.
  6.  In Advanced Controls for Microphone select 1 Microphone Boost.

  7.  Click the Close button and exit out of all Windows.
