Hello, My name is Andrea Martinez and i have participated in the 121 tutoring program.

This program was such a wonderful experience and i am pleased to say that this it was very helpful and i am so glad that i got such a wonderful opportunity such as this. There were many things i struggled with in math and through this program i have been able to understand things that i thought i never would. i was really amazed at the technology of it as well. To be able to be tutored without even being face to face with someone and actually getting to learn shows how well this program was put together and how easy it makes it for the students. I am most grateful to have gotten the help that i really needed through this. not only am i grateful to the program but most importantly to my wonderful tutor, Kamelia Dandapat. iI could not have gotten the help i needed if it were not for her. She is the sweetest, most kindhearted person i have ever had the pleasure of talking to and was a lovely tutor! She is understanding and explains everything so well. She made sure to not move on until she knew that i understood what we were doing. I could not have asked for a better tutor and i am so thankful for receiving her as my tutor. It was a true blessing. I am in the 11th grade and i can surely say that although i have only known her a short time, she has taught me better than i can say for many of my math teachers. I could go on about this program and my lovely and very helpful tutor, Kamelia, but there is just one very important thing that i must say.

I have been requested  to write a comment about your company and your tutors who tutor my children. 

My  children have been with your company since September 2006, I believe.  The reason I first tried the tutoring online because of  my children’s busy schedules.  It is very difficult to have a fixed time and have a tutor to come to our house and vice versa.   To have a tutoring online will give us some flexible time to meet our needs.    At the same time I was also a kind of skeptical about learning online. It was a new experience to me back then, and  I was not sure it would work especially with overseas tutors like your company. 

It has been over a year we have been with you.   Your company and your tutors have proved to us that you have done more than what we expected.   First,  I am impressed that your company purchase all the text books your students learn at school so that your tutors can correlate during lessons.  Secondly, whenever  I have any requests e.g. books,  headsets, whiteboards or questions I will get the response promptly.   The California administrators, Stutdent Support staff and your tutors are very courteous and friendly.  Lastly and importantly, because of your tutors’s credentials I have a peace of mind and believe your tutors are very knowledgeable in the subject they teach.

Now I would like to give a comment about Erica’s tutor: Dibyendu.

Dipu has been Erica’s math tutor for over a year.   Math is always a very difficult subject for  Erica.   After she started tutoring with Dipu, her grade has gradually been improved from a D to a B+.  Both Erica and I are very pleased with the result.  I believe she will contintue to improve more in math with him.  He is a wonderful tutor.  He is not only  very patient and helpful, but also works very hard to meet his student’s needs.  Erica’s shedule is quite busy because of her sports, clubs and volunteer work.  He tries to be  flexible with the time whenever he can.  If she needs more help with math, he is always  available to help her even on weekends. We are appreciative to his flexibility.  I am so amazed how hard he works for his student and is passionate about his profession.  Sometimes I also wonder if he ever sleeps!    Dipu has all qualities that all teachers should have.

Two years ago, my son was 3 weeks from finishing his 2nd trimester in the 6th grade.  It was then that his teacher told me that he would be put in a lower math class for the final semester.  The math group my son was in was for students that would be taking honors math in jr. high.  His teacher believed that my son would not be able to keep up with the rest of the students since the work level was going to become more complex.  All his friends were in the advanced math class, to be separated because of a demotion would be embarrassing and devastating.  I told his teacher I would have my son tutored. His teacher agreed to watch his progress over the next 3 weeks before he made a decision.

I quickly began searching for a tutor.  I was prepared for the high hourly prices.  I was not prepared for the high assessment charges that went along with most programs.  Also, I would have to schedule a time for testing and a slot for my son. I needed help fast.  At 1 to 1 tutor I was able to schedule my son almost immediately.  I was also able to schedule him for two classes a week; for less than one session with a traditional tutor.  His tutor, Dibyendu, was an excellent communicator.  My son learns best through interacting, he also loves to work on the computer, so this was a great tool for him.  Also I did not have to take him and his two younger siblings to another location two times a week for tutoring. We already had a full schedule with sports, music lessons and youth group at church. Tutoring was done from the convenience of our home office.  It was perfect!

There is also a happy ending to my dilemma.  My son stayed in the advanced math class.  He graduated with Honors, received an award his reading accomplishments and also spoke at the graduation ceremony.  I know that with out the help of 1to1 tutor his final months in the six grade would not have ended so well.  Also, he scored in the top 5% in his class in the math category on the state test.  This has been a great experience for us and is why we have continued with 1to1 tutor for the past two years and will continue until he and his siblings graduate.

  I started using tutor 1 to 1 for my 2nd son about 6 months ago with Krishna Jaiwal.  My son like his teaching style a lot. He would go over the chapter very throughly before he gives him the problem to do.His grade improve tremendously.
  My older son, who is now a senior in high school, was used to getting As in all of his honor math classes. Until about a month before the end of the semester, he began to get Fs.  He was in a lot of school activities and always thought he could make it up on the following tests.  Before he knew it, finals were only 2 weeks away. We were panicking. I quickly enrolled him to tutor 1 to 1 and talked to the customer support, Sougata, to  schedule lessons for 5 days a week. They sent me all the necessary tools right away and the sessions started immediately.  They assigned Subham  Das for his tutor. The support group and Subham were very sincere in helping my son to do good on his final.  His grade is getting better, but there is still a lot of room for improvement.  I have confident if he continue to get the help from Subham , he could get the grade that he used to have.  Thank you 1 to 1 Tutor,  Subham and Krishna. We appreciate your hardwork.

My experience with Subham and my overall experience with 1 to 1 tutoring has been excellent. My grades have increased significantly and i am now receiving marks i never knew i was capable of. My general over view of 1to1Tutor ( Souvik ) Who I find very helpful I recently was behind in math studies but with help in a understandable way with accent but extremely clear in everyway I felt as though if I had a problem Souvik was there showing me step by step. I also came to like how it didn’t have to just be about math. Souvik often asked “ How are you ? “ How was your weekend ? “ “How is your dog ?” I found this very delightful an interest in my daily life. Wich I feel is a key in teaching one with problems. I feel Souvik is a good example to many other teachers and tutors I have had none quite as good. ;) So Thanks Souvik for getting down on my level having interest in my life :). I also often get off track with drawing but Souvik lets it go on showing interest in it and laughing but then say " okay next Problem lets do it. "

Since Ada started with 1to 1 tutor, her math grade went from a "D" to an "A". She is staying ahead of the class, and is enjoys math. Her tutor Arny has been wonderful with her. Arny takes time to explain the rules and processes, and allows Ada to think on her own. The tutoring has been a great relief for me as well. I had an awful time trying to teach Ada, and we quarrelled daily over her math.

Where do I begin to express my gratitude to your company,but most specially to my tutor Dibyendu? As a graduate student taking Educational Statistics I was struggling and knew that in order to complete my program I had to find someone to help me pass this course. My experience at  1to1 tutor was great and I think I learned alot. Amit really knows what he is doing he is like a super calculator that knows everything about math. And he never gets mad at you so you never get discouraged when working a hard math problem. i would like to say some things about sudip. Ever since I started with sudip i have improved so much. I love how he teaches me. He is the only guy who is perfect for me. He is very kind. He teaches me stuff above my grade. he is the best. At school i know answer the problems right.

When I started 1to1tutors, I was sort of nervous about tutoring and my math skills. But, my tutor Mohit Lal Chakraborty, changed that. Mohit is an excellent tutor he gives me superb instruction on how to help on my math problems. I've noticed that because of him my math skills have increased and I now feel more confident to do my math in school. I am vastly ahead on my math subjects. It has been more than a decade since I took my last math course when I signed up for my intermediate algebra course for my BS. Although I was quite good at math before, I found myself having trouble keeping up with the course especially because I did not have much time to study due to my full time job. Belle told me, some students asked to be transferred out of her class because the teacher is making everyone worked very hard. That's why we are so happy with her progress. If she could make it to B+ in this class, that means she would be getting A+ in regular classes.

James is enjoying his math lessons, and really likes his teacher Indra. Indra is showing him different ways of solving problems to the way they are taught in school, and James is finding it easier to understand. He had a progress report this week, and his grade has improved since the last report, which we are of course very happy about. He is also doing better on tests and quizzes in class and his understanding has improved greatly. Keep up the good work!

1to1tutor has been truly incredible. My instructor has taught me in manner far superior to that of any teacher I have had before. It really is incredible that from thousands and thousands of miles away someone can teach math so well. It really does work, I am seeing huge improvements, and I finally feel good about finishing problems. My tutor, Sourish, seems more like a friend than my teacher, and he gets the points across in a quicker and more concise manner. I can't say enough about the service. It is wonderful.

My daughter, Andrea is 16.  She has been working with Sougata Das, her tutor, for the past couple of months.  The consistent review of the geometry concepts as well as help on homework assignments has helped Andrea not only increase test scores but also be prepared for pop quizzes that happen frequently in her school.  Andrea's self-confidence with math as increased dramatically.  I hear her helping her friends with their assignments many evenings!  Andrea now likes doing her homework assignments and looks forward to this hour with Sougata.  Although the language differences are still sometimes difficult, it really has added to the diversity and acceptance of differences.  Sougata has done a great job in creating a solid relationship with Andrea.  I recommend this program to every parent that talks to me about their teenagers needing assistance with math.  Awesome experience.  Thank you.

My son, Joe has been tutoring with you for about a month and a half now.  We had tried other local tutors but were disappointed with the results.  1 to 1 tutor changed all of that! Debi Chakraborty tutors Joe three times a week in Algebra.

From the very first telephone call I made to 1to1 tutor, I was impressed by the service I recieved. My name is Marilyn Barnes, and my daughter has been working with 1to1tutor for 4 months. Her tutor is Debi Chakraborty. When she first started with 1to1, she needed to improve her math skills. To be more specific, she needed help in Algrebra I. Since she has started with 1to1 tutor, her math skills have improved, her grades have gone up, and she feels better prepared when it's test time. My name is Anil, and I am an economics student at Irvine Valley College.

Mathematics has never been my favorite subject, and I almost gave up college because I struggled so much in math. Then my parents found this website for online tutoring, and encouraged me to try it. Even though I was skeptical at first, I enrolled with 1to1 tutor and have been working with them for two months. In this time I have made a great deal of progress. Ideas that were difficult to understand are starting to make sense now. I even got an 80 percent on my midterm, which is the best grade I have ever gotten in math. I am very pleased with this tutoring program, and especially with my teacher. He is a very patient and knowledgeable person.

Today, I feel more confident with my math skills than ever before. I now have the skills necessary to finish my math requirements and get my degree. The best part is that I am now electing higher levels of math for my degree requirement. I do have the confidence that I would at least get a B in the next  Quarter – that is better than I am expecting in other courses.

My name is Aaron , and I believe 1 to 1 tutor has changed my life forever. At my age of 13, I want to become a business billionaire. To do so I wish to go to an Ivy League School, preferably Harvard. 1 to 1 tutor will substantially improve my chances. My grade in math last year was a 91 percentile, this year I have jumped my grade to a 96 percentile. Without a doubt this is because of 1 to 1 tutor.

My tutor is Debi Prasad, and he is awesome! He speaks perfect English and is really the best. I have sessions with him quite often and he is no longer just my tutor he is also one of my good friends. When he is sick or unable to have a session with me I have had other tutors and all of them are equally great! The sessions in which I have are perfect. We use a program called Skype to talk to each other and it works flawlessly. We also use a white board provided by 1 to 1 tutor which makes the actual session as good as can be.

I have a good comfort level with all the tutors I have been tutored by. I was totally confused on the concept of dividing complex algebraic functions, and I had a 25 point quiz on this concept the very next day. Debi (My Tutor who is a Computer Engineer) guided me through my 35 homework problems telling me “It is O.K. you can take your time. I would help you here if you had a thousand problems, regardless of pay.” Your son and/or daughter will definitely have a top quality tutor and will do better in math. Guaranteed.

If I have ever made a decision worth while, it was the decision to come to 1 to 1 tutor. I have seen the improvement in myself over the past trimester. Over the next four years I can barely imagine what might become of my math skills. I strongly encourage any student at any level to go to 1 to 1 tutor; it will change their/your life for good.
